Under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Kamal Shehadi, Lebanon officially launched the ICT Knowledge & Innovation Community (ICT KIC) on June 24, 2025, in Beirut, marking a key step toward accelerating the country’s digital transformation. Organized under the EU-funded Lebanon Innovate program in partnership with the EBRD and led by IRALEB and Berytech, the event brought together government, academia, industry, and innovators around the theme “Lebanon’s Digital Leap: Transforming Industries,” with a strong focus on manufacturing. 

The ICT KIC was presented as a national platform bridging academia and industry to drive applied research, technology transfer, talent development, and innovation, with a 2025 roadmap centered on funding, skills building, and emerging technologies such as AI and cloud computing. Through industry case studies, panel discussions, and a strong governmental endorsement, the launch underscored a shared national vision to modernize key sectors, strengthen infrastructure and policy frameworks, retain and mobilize Lebanese talent, and position Lebanon as a regional hub for digital innovation.
