What is WE4F 2.0? WE4F 2.0 is a four-year Programme designed to increase climate resilience and security of food and water systems across the MENA region by supporting up to 120 innovative SMEs and scale-ups with tailored technical assistance, milestone-based grants, and investment facilitation. Building on WE4F 1.0, which supported 60+ companies, catalyzed $38M+ in investments, saved 11.7B liters of water and avoided 1.45M tons of CO2 emissions.
Track 1 – Regional Call for SMEs targets established SMEs embedded in national value chains capable of delivering immediate impact through job creation, supply chain strengthening, and improved resource efficiency. This call addresses barriers to enable production of more food with efficient and sustainable usage of water and energy along the value chain — covering the Water-Energy-Food nexus, climate resilience, efficient logistics, food processing, warehousing, digital market access, circular economy, organic farming, and land restoration.
Eligible countries: Egypt, Lebanon, Jordan, Iraq, Morocco, Tunisia.
Award: Average USD 100,000 (reimbursement basis), up to 3 milestone-based tranches, up to 2 years. Minimum 1:1 matching funds required.
Support includes: Technical Assistance (TA), Investment Readiness and Brokerage (IR), tailored consultancy, one-to-one support, Bootcamps, ESG support, networking, and access to buyers, suppliers, and financing partners in MENA and internationally.
Application: Two-stage (EOI → Full Proposal). Applications accepted throughout March 2026. Reviews by end of April 2026.
